Have you ever wanted to dive the fascinating caverns of the Cenotes? Perhaps you just want to be able to go into some of the overhead environments in the Florida springs? If you dive within the light zone of a cave–the area near the cave entrance where natural light is always visible, then you’re in the cavern zone and often times, these destinations won’t let you dive without a certification.
On Sept. 24-25, Adventure Outfitters is holding a cavern course where you will learn the basics of cavern planning, using lines and more. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are considered competent to plan and execute a cavern dive within no-decompression limits without direct supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training.
