In this exciting course, you will learn to prevent certain diving-related problems and how to manage them should they occur. You will learn about a few of the specific concerns affecting divers, and the best way to provide aid in and out of the water in an emergency. This course is both challenging and demanding, but is ultimately very rewarding. The course covers:

• Self rescue
• Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
• Emergency management and equipment
• Rescuing panicked divers
• Rescuing unresponsive divers

You must be at least 12 years old and a certified Adventure Diver (or equivalent) and have a current CPR certification which can be gained through the Adventure Outfitters EFR class. A book is required for this course and must be picked up and read prior to the classroom on Dec. 8.
