$125.00

Lionfish Roundup Trip includes the boat fee (three drops) and a divemaster.

Pair this trip with a lionfish course for $50!

Lionfish are an invasive species to Florida. Their presence in our environment, has the potential to have a negative impact on the local habitat. As opportunistic feeders that demolish reef populations, many agencies/organizations and organizations including the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission encourage the removal of lionfish.

That’s where we come in. Lionfish aren’t only detrimental for the environment, they’re also delicious! Join us for a day on the water to help save reef populations and catch dinner. Lionfish are easy to catch but they require special equipment. Lionfish have 18 venomous spines that can cause pain/swelling/nausea and more. To avoid touching their spines, divers have formulated several pieces of equipment to help keep lionfish away from the diver until they are in a location where they can safely remove the spines. Zookeepers and pole spears are used to catch and hold lionfish while diving. Once at the surface, the diver can easily remove the fish from the Zookeeper and filet their fish!

Populations of lionfish are increasing daily and divers can help keep these populations down by eradicating them whether you harvest them or not.
